lyrics
After the Rain comes pouring down
After the water falls on the ground
The sun'll come shining.
I can see your face
After the Rain everything will be in it's right place
After the rain does subside
We'll forget all the tears we cried
Will go out walking, We'll will go stepping out.
After the Rain baby there will be no doubt
After the Rain comes the light
After day baby comes the night
I long to know you better baby, I long to understand
After the Rain, babe I'm want to be your man
We heard the thunder tumble 'cross the sea
Don't it remind you of you and me?
We go out running babe, all through the town
After the Rain, baby I will be around
After the Rain it will all be clear
When It's done we can face our fears
We'll watch our troubles, flowing down the drain
Everything will be just fine After the Rain
I can see your shining face After the Rain
Everything will be in it's right place After the Rain
After the rain...

The best I've heard from Steve Earle in a while. The songs have a subtler, earthier tone, tastefully rendered in authentic sounding country/blues/bluegrass stylings. 'J.T' reminds of earlier records like 'Feel Alright' or 'Train a Comin'.
Deep grief, love and compassion is felt on the final track, the only composition from Steve, seemingly written for his son. The rest, composed by JT, do confirm what a great songwriter he really was. tideracer
Cerebral palsy curbed his ability to play guitar the conventional way, so Nagoda learned double slide, this is his debut LP.
