lyrics
If circumstance finds you low
And you've got no place to go
they all say "come by and see me sometime"
What they mean is
You got mine
If the situation finds you blue
And they all turn their back on you
H ope you wake to find the sun it shines
Always know it baby
You got mine
I got yours, you got mine
Everywhere, all the time
In the winter, spring, summertime
In the fall, hunny you got mine
If Indignation and despair
Have you feeling like life ain't fair
Come on over baby, pull up a chair
Never doubt it
You got mine
I got yours, you got mine
Everywhere, all the time
In the winter, spring, summertime
In the fall, hunny you got mine
It'll give you consolation, camaraderie, understanding, and stability
Never doubt you've got a friend in me.
Sing it with me
You got mine
I got yours, you got mine
Everywhere, all the time
In the winter, spring, summertime
In the fall hunny you got mine
You've got mine...
The best I've heard from Steve Earle in a while. The songs have a subtler, earthier tone, tastefully rendered in authentic sounding country/blues/bluegrass stylings. 'J.T' reminds of earlier records like 'Feel Alright' or 'Train a Comin'.
Deep grief, love and compassion is felt on the final track, the only composition from Steve, seemingly written for his son. The rest, composed by JT, do confirm what a great songwriter he really was. tideracer
Cerebral palsy curbed his ability to play guitar the conventional way, so Nagoda learned double slide, this is his debut LP.
